Multicultural Center in Warsaw was established by the Deputy Mayor
of the Capital City of Warsaw. The aim of the Center is to provide the
representatives of different cultures a place where they can feel like home.
The Center cooperates with municipal offices and institutions as well as NGOs
in order to create friendly environment for migrants and to give opportunities
to them to implement their ideas and to share their culture.
Rima Mammadova met with multicultural staff members of the Center. Staff members were given information about the activities and projects of the center. The Center consists of four working groups that implement various projects: Information, Activation, Education, Culture and Research. During her visit to the Center, the staff prepared to the election of a new Board. The Board is selected for three years.

Rima Mammadova aims to discuss the possibilities of expanding cooperation in multicultural issues and eye other issues of mutual interest. The sides exchanged views on the expansion of cooperation between the two organizations' in a variety of areas of multiculturalism. The IMN International Manager emphasized today promotion of multiculturalism which is declared as state policy by the Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev and born from the centuries-old cultural life of our people and awareness raising measures thereon are adequate answer to the challenges of the state on the one side, on the other side it is protection of moral and cultural treasure and wealth of our people which was formed within centuries-long period and its transfers to future generations, because Azerbaijan possesses strong national ideology which contains elements strengthened at the state level such as tolerance and multiculturalism which are state ideology of all ethnoses. She noted that the multicultural center will also be able to use the opportunities of International Multicultural Network projects to be specialized in the field of multiculturalism.
Rima Mammadova wished good luck to them and
shared contacts of International Multicultural Network with the staff of the
Center in order to collaborate in future projects and researches.
