2020 IMN Multicultural
Ambassador
The purpose
of the 2020 IMN Multicultural Ambassador Project is to provide opportunities for researchers to take an active role in educational,
cultural, social, and leadership opportunities for students as it pertains to multiculturalism, equity,
and social justice. Multicultural Ambassador is responsible for facilitating and implementing
various aspects of cultural programs, educational workshops, and leadership
development opportunities throughout the year. The ambassador program is a great
experience to improve self-confidence, communication skills, and
leadership abilities while serving as part of a close-knit, diverse, and
dynamic group.
Duties
- 1. Increase awareness, promote inclusiveness, and prompt genuine celebration of differences among participants,
- Assist with welcoming new applicants and guests to International Multicultural Network.
- 3. Encourage
other students to take an active role in multicultural activities,
- Assist with
the planning and execution of programs (cultural, social, educational,
leadership) from the International Multicultural Network Office.
- Assist with all aspects of the Network Office including but not limited to: creating and executing programs, greeting guests, running informational booths, hanging flyers, transporting materials around Network Office , helping with programs,advertising, moving chairs and tables, etc.

- Full Commitment of 1 academic year to the MC Ambassador project

to take INITIATIVE, motivate/help others, have strong sense of responsibility,
and have fun,
- Adhere
to a strong code of ethics at all times,
- Exhibit leadership potential & willingness to develop leadership skills furtherfirst. Other employment will not be an excuse to miss any Multicultural Ambassador meetings.
Office
Hour Requirement
Schedule and maintain 4 -6 office
hours each week in the International Multicultural Network Office.
HIRING – Applicants will be
informed of their status via their email mid-February,2020.
Those selected to be an MC
Ambassador will be required to attend the MC Ambassador Training, Monday, February
17,2020.
Multicultural Ambassador will be
champion for their existing communities and will engage citizens’ participation
in workplaces, social, religious and recreation groups, as well as in schools
and community groups.
All researchers who successfully
complete Multicultural Ambassador duties will be eligible for letters of
recommendation and other leadership positions.
