Dr.
Rabiu Olayinka IYANDA
He had his primary
education at Ipetumodu, Osun State and secondary at Ila Grammar school,
Ila-Orangun. He proceeded to the then Oyo State College of Education, now Osun
State College of Education, Ila Orangun. after the three years training, he
went to University of Ilorin for his Bachelor of Arts in French. He obtained
the Masters of Arts in French Studies, at the premier university, University of
Ibadan. In 2016 he completed his research thesis, Cross-culturalism and
aesthetics in Fongbe and Igbomina oral fables.
A thesis submitted to the postgraduate
school, Department of European Studies, Faculty of Arts, University of Ibadan
for the award of Doctor of Philosophy, PhD. The thesis examined the cultural
similarities and dissimilarities in fable narration in some selected areas of
the study. It considered the level of technological development in these areas
and how they influence the cultural ethos of these communities. He has attended
many academic conferences and presented papers in Nigeria, France, Côte
d’Ivoire and other west African nations. he attended training and workshops in L’Université
de Niamey, République du Niger. Centre
de Linguistique Appliqué de Besançon, CLA, Université de Franche-Comté, France.
Centre d’Approches Vivantes des Langues et des Médias, CAVILAM, Vichy, France. Félix Houphouët Boigny University, Abidjan among
several others. He
is currently engaged as lecturer and researcher at the Osun State University,
Osogbo. College of Humanities and Culture, Ikire in the department of French
Language of the university. He has written articles in his area of interest in
several journals.
