Professor Munir Hossain Talukder
Professor Talukder was born in
Jhalakathi (Jhalokati) district in 1976. He passed SSC Examination from
Model High School Khilgaon, Dhaka with First Division (Star Marks) and HSC
Examination from Govt. Science College, Dhaka also with First Division. He got
admission Bachelor program at Jahangirnagar University in
1992-1993 session. He achieved both B.A. Honours and M.A. degrees
with First Class. After that he received his M.Phil.
degree for his thesis on Environmental Ethics. He successfully
completed his Ph.D. research in Comparative Environmental Philosophy and
Ethics at the National University of Singapore, Singapore immediately after
his another M.A. in Applied Ethics from Sweden and the Netherlands. His
research works have been published from several countries in the world
including USA, Singapore, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, Turkey and Malaysia and
some of them have been translated into foreign language. Md. Munir Hossain
Talukder joined the department of philosophy, Jahangirnagar University in July,
2000 as a lecturer. He became professor at the same department
in May, 2015. His academic achievements are as follows:
