Presentation of the website and digital library project “Multiculturalism of Azerbaijan”


On October 14, 2016, presentation of the website and digital library project “Multiculturalism in Azerbaijan” was held at the Presidential Library of the Administrative Department of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Director of the Presidential Library Mayil Ahmadov gave information about the new electronic resource. Representatives of cultural centers of the ethnic minorities in Azerbaijan, governmental officials and researches shared their views on the new electronic resource during the discussions. 
The website and e-library, which was prepared by the staff of the Presidential Library in Azerbaijani, Russian and English languages and was placed at the users’ disposal, completely embraces the very essence and all the aspects of the Azerbaijani multiculturalism. The users are given detailed information about the main point of the ideology of “Azerbaijanism”, which unites all the peoples living in Azerbaijan, about the ethnic and cultural diversity of the country, education of the national minorities, the traditions of tolerance and so on. Electronic versions of the books about Azerbaijani multiculturalism in Azerbaijani and other languages are presented in the section “E-Library”. You can get acquainted with the full text of the articles on multiculturalism and regularly updated information bulletins in the section "E-Resources". The materials collected from various sources about a number of important events that held in the country and abroad are offered for the users as well. The users can also obtain visual information by means of the photo and video gallery showing the traditions and folklore of the national minorities and smaller peoples in the section “Multimedia”.





They expressed  their  gratitude to the leadership of AZERTAC (Azerbaijan State News Agency), State Committee on the Religious Organizations, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of the Culture and Tourism, and the State Fund of Cinematography for their assistance in preparation of the materials.
