The Declaration of the 5th Baku International Humanitarian Forum has been adopted.



The signatories stated in the declaration that the work of the fifth Baku International Humanitarian Forum was extremely fruitful and, undoubtedly, made a worthy contribution to expansion and further development of international humanitarian cooperation. 
The participants said they believe only the investments directed at human capital are effective in corresponding to modern challenges and improving leasing, production, science and information communication technologies, noting that the Azerbaijan-initiated Baku International Multiculturalism Center has contributed a lot to developing the theory and experience of multiculturalism.
 “We note that the Baku International Multiculturalism Centre, founded on the initiative of the Republic of Azerbaijan, makes an important contribution to the development of the theory and practice of multiculturalism,” said the declaration.

The parties pointed out that significant success has been achieved in Azerbaijan in maintaining and increasing human capital overall and also among such vulnerable groups of the population as refugees and forced migrants, for the effective use of this factor in achieving the goals of sustainable development.
 “We admit that a lot has been done in Azerbaijan towards protecting and increasing the human capital. We also admit that development through the integration of human capital as well as that of the latest knowledge and skills, consecutive education programs, and expanding cooperation in this area is a vital humanitarian part of sustainable development. We emphasize the growing role of information technologies and mass media in achieving goals of creating efficient dialogue between civilizations, cultures and confessions,” said the document.

 The signatories said they consider necessary the adoption of this declaration and its use in reinforcing cooperation in the humanitarian sphere.
