Let’s Congratulate Our Newest IMN Country Representative in Pakistan!

IMN Country Representative for Pakistan,  Maria Bastos !

We wish to congratulate you on your new appointment as IMN Country Representative in Pakistan   and we take this opportunity to look forward in working closely and strenghten the cooperation with our network. We are sure our cooperation will continue to be fruitful in the future.


Maria Bastos is a Doctoral Researcher at the University Of Westminster, United Kingdom. She holds a MA in International Relations and Contemporary Political theory, University of Westminster UK, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Cross-Cultural Psychology, Brunel University UK, and she is a Licentiate in Psychology, University of Lisbon, Portugal.



Currently she's Assistant Professor at the School of Governance and Society, University of Management and Technology, Lahore,Pakistan, where she teaches post-graduate students in the areas of foreign and public policy.  Previously she worked as an Advanced International Consultant in the credit management industry. Maria's origins are from Portugal, and she enjoys her mixed Portuguese/Pakistani identity, from where she draws a rich multicultural background. She is fluent in Portuguese,  English, French and Spanish.  She can speak basic Urdu. Her research interests are in Foreign Policy (Pakistan), Post-Colonial International Relations, Politics of Identity, South Asia Politics and History with a focus in South Asia, and Cultural Studies.
