International Multicultural Network sends ‘message of condolence’ to Morocco nation after quake

On September 9, the head of the International Multicultural Network, Dr. Khayala Mammadova sent a message of condolence to the IMN Country Representative for Morocco and Morocco nation over the deadly earthquake that struck late on Friday. At least 820 people were killed by the 6.8-magnitude quake which struck 72 kilometers (45 miles) southwest of tourist hotspot Marrakesh late Friday. 

“On behalf of the International Multicultural Network colleague, we would like to express our deep grief for the victims and sincere condolences to the families....."

International Multicultural Network Partners participate in the Shusha Global Media forum, Azerbaijan

 

 Azerbaijan International Multicultural Network partners – Neil Watson ( Country Representative for UK) and   Monica del Pilar Uribe ( Director & Editor-In-Chief of The Prisma- The Multicultural Newspaper)      are currently successfully participating in the Shusha Global Media Forum.

Representatives of local and foreign media, as well as experts participate in the event.The forum is organized by the Media Development Agency.The event welcomed 150 participants from 49 countries including state news agencies from 34 countries, 12 international and media organizations.

The Forum is scheduled to discuss critical issues of global importance in the media and information-communication fields. World’s illustrious media leaders, experts will deliberate about new tools of journalism and communications in the digital era, digital transformation, media management and sustainable media business models, consumer trends and media literacy in the new media, methods of fighting disinformation and fake news, safety of journalists and other matters.

The guests visited the central square of Shusha city, where the bullet-riddled statues of Azerbaijan's renowned personalities Natavan, Bulbul, and Uzeyir Hajibeyli were placed. An employee of the Shusha City State Protection Administration provided information to the guests about the city and the statues that were affected by bullets.

The guests visited several cultural landmarks in Shusha, including Khurshidbanu Natavan's house, the "Khan gizi" spring, the Ganja Gate of the Shusha fortress, the Yukhari Govhar Agha Mosque, the Mehmandarovs' Estate Complex, and the Gazanchi Church. During the tour, they were informed about the damage inflicted on these cultural monuments by the Armenians during the occupation period.

 

The Forum will run until July 23.
